Our focus is on early and uncommon material rather than general used books. This includes antiquarian books, manuscripts, ephemera, and collections built up over time.

We are especially interested in material relating to:

Grimoires and books of magic
Alchemy and early chemical philosophy
Astrology and astronomical texts
Witchcraft and demonology
Hermetic, Rosicrucian, and esoteric philosophy
Freemasonry and secret societies
Occult manuscripts and handwritten material
Sixteenth-, seventeenth-, eighteenth-, and nineteenth-century printed books

We buy single important books as well as whole collections. We regularly work with private libraries, estates, and inherited material. If selling outright is not the right fit, we may also consider select items on consignment.

Desert Wind Rare Books is based in Reno, Nevada, and works with sellers throughout the United States and internationally. For the right collection, travel may be possible. We can also advise on packing, shipping, and next steps.
